The Discovery of a Persistent Quasi-Periodic Oscillation in the Intermediate Polar TX Col
N. Mhlahlo, D. A. H. Buckley, V. S. Dhillon +8
We report on the detection of an ~5900 s quasi-periodic variation in the extensive photometry of TX Col spanning 12 years. We discuss five different models to explain this period.…
Superhumps in Cataclysmic Binaries. XXV. q_crit, epsilon(q), and Mass-Radius
Joseph Patterson, Jonathan Kemp, David Harvey +17
We report on successes and failures in searching for positive superhumps in cataclysmic variables, and show the superhumping fraction as a function of orbital period. Basically, al…
Superhumps in Cataclysmic Binaries. XXIV. Twenty More Dwarf Novae
J. Patterson, J. Thorstensen, J. Kemp +23
We report precise measures of the orbital and superhump period in twenty more dwarf novae. For ten stars, we report new and confirmed spectroscopic periods - signifying the orbital…
A 6.3-h superhump in the cataclysmic variable TV Columbae: the longest yet seen
A. Retter, C. Hellier, T. Augusteijn +5
We present results from a two week multi-longitude photometric campaign on TV Col held in 2001 January. The data confirm the presence of a permanent positive superhump found in re-…
