The Atacama Large Aperture Submillimeter Telescope (AtLAST): enabling large-scale sub-mm science beyond 2030
Claudia Cicone, Tony Mroczkowski, Evanthia Hatziminaoglou +38
AtLAST is designed to be the largest (sub-)mm single-dish astronomical observatory and the first climate-neutral modern research infrastructure. It offers a unique combination of l…
Development of TIFUUN: Terahertz Integral Field Units with Universal Nanotechnology
Akira Endo, Tom J. L. C. Bakx, Jochem J. A. Baselmans +50
TIFUUN (THz Integral Field Units with Universal Nanotechnology) is an ultra-wideband mm-submm wave imaging spectrometer that capitalizes on the highly scalable integrated supercond…
Silicon-based vacuum window for millimeter and submillimeter-wave astrophysics
Ryota Takaku, Scott Cray, Kosuke Aizawa +7
We designed, fabricated, and characterized the properties of a silicon-based vacuum window suitable for millimeter-wave astrophysical applications. The window, which has a diameter…
Alignment and optical verification of DESHIMA 2.0 at ASTE
A. Moerman, K. Karatsu, J. J. A. Baselmans +12
We developed, characterized, and verified an alignment procedure for the DESHIMA 2.0 instrument, an ultra wide-band spectrometer operating between 200--400 GHz, at the ASTE telesco…
