Direct evidence of a sub-stellar companion around CT Cha
T. O. B. Schmidt, R. Neuhäuser, A. Seifahrt +5
In our ongoing search for close and faint companions around T Tauri stars, we found a very faint (Ks=14.9mag, Ks_0=14.4mag) object, just ~2.67" northwest of the Chamaeleon star-for…
Disk Truncation and Planet Formation in gamma Cephei
H. Jang-Condell, M. Mugrauer, T. Schmidt
The Cephei system is one of the most closely bound binary planet hosts known to date. The companion ( Cep B) to the planet-hosting star ( Cep A) should have truncated any…
Astrometric and photometric monitoring of GQ Lup and its sub-stellar companion
Ralph Neuhaeuser, Markus Mugrauer, Andreas Seifahrt +2
Neuhaeuser et al. (2005) presented direct imaging evidence for a sub-stellar companion to the young T Tauri star GQ Lup. Common proper motion was highly significant, but no orbital…
Direct detection of exoplanet host star companion gamma Cep B and revised masses for both stars and the sub-stellar object
Ralph Neuhaeuser, Markus Mugrauer, Misato Fukagawa +2
The star gamma Cep is known as a single-lined spectroscopic triple system at a distance of 13.8 pc, composed of a K1 III-IV primary star with V = 3.2 mag, a stellar-mass companion…
