The Panchromatic Hubble Andromeda Treasury
J. J. Dalcanton, B. F. Williams, D. Lang +30
The Panchromatic Hubble Andromeda Treasury (PHAT) is an on-going HST Multicycle Treasury program to image ~1/3 of M31's star forming disk in 6 filters, from the UV to the NIR. The…
The History of Star Formation in Galaxy Disks in the Local Volume as Measured by the ACS Nearby Galaxy Survey Treasury
Benjamin F. Williams, Julianne J. Dalcanton, L. C. Johnson +9
We present a measurement of the age distribution of stars residing in spiral disks and dwarf galaxies. We derive a complete star formation history of the ~140 Mpc^3 covered by the…
The ACS Nearby Galaxy Survey Treasury VIII. The Global Star Formation Histories of 60 Dwarf Galaxies in the Local Volume
Daniel R. Weisz, Julianne J. Dalcanton, Benjamin F. Williams +11
We present uniformly measured star formation histories (SFHs) of 60 nearby (D~4Mpc) dwarf galaxies based on CMDs of resolved stellar populations from images taken with HST as part…
How Typical Are The Local Group Dwarf Galaxies?
Daniel R. Weisz, Andrew E. Dolphin, Julianne J. Dalcanton +11
We compare the cumulative star formation histories (SFHs) of Local Group (LG) dwarf galaxies with those in the volume-limited ACS Nearby Galaxy Survey Treasury (ANGST) sample (D <…
