The Most Luminous Galaxies Discovered by WISE
Chao-Wei Tsai, Peter Eisenhardt, Jingwen Wu +25
We present 20 WISE-selected galaxies with bolometric luminosities L_bol > 10^14 L_sun, including five with infrared luminosities L_IR = L(rest 8-1000 micron) > 10^14 L_sun. These "…
Half of the Most Luminous Quasars May Be Obscured: Investigating the Nature of WISE-Selected Hot, Dust-Obscured Galaxies
Roberto J. Assef, Peter R. M. Eisenhardt, Daniel Stern +9
The WISE mission has unveiled a rare population of high-redshift (), dusty, hyper-luminous galaxies, with infrared luminosities , and somet…
NuSTAR and XMM-Newton Observations of Luminous, Heavily Obscured, WISE-Selected Quasars at z ~ 2
D. Stern, G. B. Lansbury, R. J. Assef +30
We report on a NuSTAR and XMM-Newton program that has observed a sample of three extremely luminous, heavily obscured WISE-selected AGN at z~2 in a broad X-ray band (0.1 - 79 keV).…
Bulgeless Galaxies at Intermediate Redshift: Sample Selection, Colour Properties, and the Existence of Powerful AGN
Luca Bizzocchi, Mercedes E. Filho, Elvira Leonardo +11
We present a catalogue of bulgeless galaxies, which includes 19225 objects selected in four of the deepest, largest multi-wavelength datasets available -- COSMOS, AEGIS, GEMS and G…
