Some model theory and topological dynamics of p-adic algebraic groups
Davide Penazzi, Anand Pillay, Ningyuan Yao
We initiate the study of p-adic algebraic groups G from the stability-theoretic and definable topological-dynamical points of view, that is, we consider invariants of the action of…
A Note on Integrability and Internality in DCF0
Joel Nagloo, Davide Penazzi
We investigate the relationship between algebraic integrability and the model theoretic notion of internality. Our main result give a geometric account of almost internality and in…
On compactifications and the topological dynamics of definable groups
Jakub Gismatullin, Davide Penazzi, Anand Pillay
We discuss definable compactifications and topological dynamics. For G a group definable in some structure M, we define notions of "definable" compactification of G and "definable"…
One-basedness and reductions of elliptic curves over real closed fields
Davide Penazzi
Building on the positive solution of Pillay's conjecture we present a notion of "intrinsic" reduction for elliptic curves over a real closed field K. We compare such notion with th…
Some model theory of SL(2,R)
Jakub Gismatullin, Davide Penazzi, Anand Pillay
We study the action of G = SL(2,R) on its type space S_G(R) where R denotes the field of real numbers. We identify a minimal closed G-flow I, and an idempotent r of I (with the res…
