Following the Cosmic Evolution of Pristine Gas II: The search for Pop III-Bright Galaxies
Richard Sarmento, Evan Scannapieco, Seth Cohen
Direct observational searches for Population III (Pop III) stars at high redshift are faced with the question of how to select the most promising targets for spectroscopic follow-u…
The Lyman Continuum escape fraction of emission line-selected galaxies is less than 15%
Michael J. Rutkowski, Claudia Scarlata, Alaina Henry +9
Recent work suggests that strong emission line, star-forming galaxies may be significant Lyman Continuum leakers. We combine archival HST broadband ultraviolet and optical imaging…
Ultra-deep Large Binocular Camera U-band Imaging of the GOODS-North Field: Depth vs. Resolution
Teresa A. Ashcraft, Rogier A. Windhorst, Rolf A. Jansen +13
We present a study of the trade-off between depth and resolution using a large number of U-band imaging observations in the GOODS-North field (Giavalisco et al. 2004) from the Larg…
The Lyman Continuum escape fraction of faint galaxies at z~3.3 in the CANDELS/GOODS-North, EGS, and COSMOS fields with LBC
A. Grazian, E. Giallongo, D. Paris +41
The reionization of the Universe is one of the most important topics of present day astrophysical research. The most plausible candidates for the reionization process are star-form…
