The Line Emission Terahertz Observatory (LETO): Exploring the lifecycle of the ISM and the origins of water
Dimitra Rigopoulou, Peter Roelfsema, William Grainger +13
The Interstellar Medium (ISM) is the reservoir of baryonic matter from which stars and planetary systems are formed. It is also the repository of the material that is expelled at t…
Evidence of Enhanced Ionization in Protostellar Envelopes
Kamber R. Schwarz, S. Maret, M. R. A. Wells +4
Ionization is a major driver of both physical and chemical evolution in protostellar systems. Recent observations reveal substantial chemical processing in protoplanetary disks by…
Star and Planet Formation with the Single Aperture Large Telescope for Universe Studies (SALTUS) Space Observatory
Kamber Schwarz, Alexander Tielens, Joan Najita +10
The Single Aperture Large Telescope for Universe Studies (SALTUS) is a far-infrared space mission concept with unprecedented spatial and spectral resolution. Saltus consists of a 1…
Single Aperture Large Telescope for Universe Studies (SALTUS): Science Overview
Gordon Chin, Carrie M. Anderson, Jennifer Bergner +33
The SALTUS Probe mission will provide a powerful far-infrared (far-IR) pointed space observatory to explore our cosmic origins and the possibility of life elsewhere. The observator…
