The extraordinary gamma-ray flare of the blazar 3C 454.3
E. Striani, S. Vercellone, M. Tavani +56
We present the gamma-ray data of the extraordinary flaring activity above 100 MeV from the flat spectrum radio quasar 3C 454.3 detected by AGILE during the month of December 2009.…
The December 2009 gamma-ray flare of 3C 454.3: the multifrequency campaign
L. Pacciani, V. Vittorini, M. Tavani +81
During the month of December, 2009 the blazar 3C 454.3 became the brightest gamma-ray source in the sky, reaching a peak flux F ~2000E-8 ph/cm2/s for E > 100 MeV. Starting in Novem…
Multiwavelength observations of 3C 454.3 II. The AGILE 2007 December campaign
I. Donnarumma, G. Pucella, V. Vittorini +75
We report on the second AGILE multiwavelength campaign of the blazar 3C 454.3 during the first half of December 2007. This campaign involved AGILE, Spitzer, Swift,Suzaku, the WEBT c…
SSC radiation in BL Lac sources, the end of the tether
A. Paggi, F. Massaro, V. Vittorini +4
The synchrotron-self Compton (SSC) radiation process is widely held to provide a close representation of the double peaked spectral energy distributions from BL Lac Objects (BL Lac…
