Nonclassical photocounting statistics with a single on-off detector
V. S. Kovtoniuk, M. Bohmann, A. A. Semenov
Any single on-off photocounter, which can only detect the presence or absence of photons without discriminating their number, is not capable of identifying nonclassical nature of l…
Latent optical nonclassicality of conditionally prepared states
V. S. Kovtoniuk, A. B. Klimov, A. A. Semenov
The lack of information obtained from informationally incomplete quantum measurements can prevent the detection of quantum resources, such as optical nonclassicality. We develop a…
Tight inequalities for nonclassicality of measurement statistics
V. S. Kovtoniuk, E. V. Stolyarov, O. V. Kliushnichenko +1
In quantum optics, measurement statistics -- for example, photocounting statistics -- are considered nonclassical if they cannot be reproduced with statistical mixtures of classica…
Photon-number resolution with microwave Josephson photomultipliers
E. V. Stolyarov, O. V. Kliushnichenko, V. S. Kovtoniuk +1
We study counting photons confined in a mode of a microwave resonator via repeated measurements by a Josephson photomultiplier (JPM). The considered JPM is essentially a flux-biase…
