High Resolution Infrared Imaging & Spectroscopy of the Z Canis Majoris System During Quiescence & Outburst
Sasha Hinkley, Lynne Hillenbrand, Ben R. Oppenheimer +21
We present adaptive optics photometry and spectra in the JHKL-bands along with high spectral resolution K-band spectroscopy for each component of the Z Canis Majoris system. Our hi…
Constraining mass ratio and extinction in the FU Orionis binary system with infrared integral field spectroscopy
Laurent Pueyo, Lynne Hillenbrand, Gautam Vasisht +15
We report low resolution near infrared spectroscopic observations of the eruptive star FU Orionis using the Integral Field Spectrograph Project 1640 installed at the Palomar Hale t…
Spectral Typing of Late Type Stellar Companions to Young Stars from Low Dispersion Near-Infrared Integral Field Unit Data
Lewis C. Roberts, Emily L. Rice, Charles A. Beichman +22
We used the Project 1640 near-infrared coronagraph and integral field spectrograph to observe 19 young solar type stars. Five of these stars are known binary stars and we detected…
Detection of Ks-band Thermal Emission from WASP-3b
Ming Zhao, Jennifer Milburn, Travis Barman +4
We report the detection of thermal emission from the hot Jupiter WASP-3b in the KS band, using a newly developed guiding scheme for the WIRC instrument at the Palomar Hale 200in te…
