Goal-Oriented Semantic Communication for Distributed ISAC-Enabled Vehicle Coordination
Wenjie Liu, Yansha Deng
Vehicle coordination at unsignalized intersections relies on accurate real-time vehicle state acquisition and reliable command-and-control (C&C) signal delivery. However, existing…
Safety-aware Goal-oriented Semantic Sensing, Communication, and Control for Robotics
Wenchao Wu, Shutong Chen, Wenjie Liu +3
Wirelessly-connected robotic systems empower robots with real-time intelligence by leveraging remote computing resources for decision-making. However, the data exchange between rob…
Goal-Oriented Semantic Communication for ISAC-Enabled Robotic Obstacle Avoidance
Wenjie Liu, Yansha Deng, Henk Wymeersch
We investigate an integrated sensing and communication (ISAC)-enabled BS for the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) obstacle avoidance task, and propose a goal-oriented semantic communi…
Goal-Oriented UAV Communication Design and Optimization for Target Tracking: A MachineLearning Approach
Wenchao Wu, Yanning Wu, Yuanqing Yang +1
To accomplish various tasks, safe and smooth control of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) needs to be guaranteed, which cannot be met by existing ultra-reliable low latency communica…
Goal-oriented Semantic Communications for Robotic Waypoint Transmission: The Value and Age of Information Approach
Wenchao Wu, Yuanqing Yang, Yansha Deng +1
The ultra-reliable and low-latency communication (URLLC) service of the fifth-generation (5G) mobile communication network struggles to support safe robot operation. Nowadays, the…
Goal-oriented Semantic Communications for Avatar-centric Augmented Reality
Zhe Wang, Yansha Deng, A. Hamid Aghvami
Upon the advent of the emerging metaverse and its related applications in Augmented Reality (AR), the current bit-oriented network struggles to support real-time changes for the va…
