On the nature of FRB 150418: clues from European VLBI Network and e-MERLIN observations
M. Giroletti, B. Marcote, M. Garrett +5
We investigate the nature of the compact, and possibly variable nuclear radio source in the centre of WISE J0716-19, the proposed host galaxy of fast radio burst, FRB 150418. We ob…
Long-term multi-wavelength variability and correlation study of Markarian 421 from 2007 to 2009
MAGIC Collaboration, M. L. Ahnen, S. Ansoldi +176
We study the multi-band variability and correlations of the TeV blazar Mrk 421 on year time scales, which can bring additional insight on the processes responsible for its broadban…
Very-high-energy gamma-rays from the Universe's middle age: detection of the z=0.940 blazar PKS 1441+25 with MAGIC
MAGIC Collaboration, M. L. Ahnen, S. Ansoldi +246
The flat-spectrum radio quasar PKS 1441+25 at a redshift of z = 0.940 is detected between 40 and 250 GeV with a significance of 25.5 σ using the MAGIC telescopes. Together with the…
MAGIC detection of short-term variability of the high-peaked BL Lac object 1ES 0806+524
MAGIC Collaboration, J. Aleksić, S. Ansoldi +152
The high-frequency-peaked BL Lac (HBL) 1ES 0806+524 (z = 0.138) was discovered in VHE rays in 2008. Until now, the broad-band spectrum of 1ES 0806+524 has been only poorly char…
