Low accretion rates at the AGN cosmic downsizing epoch
A. Babic, L. Miller, M. J. Jarvis +3
Context: X-ray surveys of Active Galactic Nuclei (AGN) indicate `cosmic downsizing', with the comoving number density of high-luminosity objects peaking at higher redshifts (z abou…
The evolution of host mass and black hole mass in QSOs from the 2dF QSO Redshift Survey
S. Fine, S. M. Croom, L. Miller +9
We investigate the relation between the mass of super-massive black holes (Mbh) in QSOs and the mass of the dark matter halos hosting them (Mdh). We measure the widths of broad emi…
The Cosmological History of Accretion onto Dark Halos and Supermassive Black Holes
L. Miller, W. J. Percival, S. M. Croom +1
Aims: We investigate the cosmological growth of dark halos and follow the consequences of coeval growth for the accretion history of associated supermassive black holes. Methods: T…
Renormalization-group running cosmologies - a scale-setting procedure
A. Babic, B. Guberina, R. Horvat +1
For cosmologies including scale dependence of both the cosmological and the gravitational constant, an additional consistency condition dictated by the Bianchi identities emerges,…
