Observational studies of early-type binary stars: VV Orionis
Dirk Terrell, Ulisse Munari, Alessandro Siviero
New and previously published observations of the bright eclipsing binary VV Orionis are analyzed. We present new radial velocities and interstellar reddening measurements from high…
New Constraints on Additional Satellites of the Pluto System
A. J. Steffl, M. J. Mutchler, H. A. Weaver +8
Observations of Pluto and its solar-tidal stability zone were made using the Advanced Camera for Surveys' (ACS) Wide Field Channel (WFC) on the Hubble Space Telescope on UT 2005 Ma…
Observational Studies of Early-type Binary Stars: MP Centauri
Dirk Terrell, Ulisse Munari, Tomaz Zwitter +1
We present photometric and spectroscopic data on the early-type binary MP Centauri. The photometric data are analyzed simultaneously with radial velocities to derive preliminary ab…
Observational Studies of Early-type Overcontact Binaries: TU Muscae
Dirk Terrell, Ulisse Munari, Tomaz Zwitter +1
We present new spectroscopic and photometric data on the early-type overcontact binary TU Muscae. The analysis of the spectroscopic data shows that the line of sight to the system…
