X-winds in Action
Mike J. Cai, Hsien Shang, Hsiao-Hsuan Lin +1
The interaction of accretion disks with the magnetospheres of young stars can produce X-winds and funnel flows. With the assumption of axial symmetry and steady state flow, the pro…
Submillimeter arcsecond-resolution mapping of the highly collimated protostellar jet HH 211
Chin-Fei Lee, Paul T. P. Ho, Aina Palau +4
We have mapped the protostellar jet HH 211 in 342 GHz continuum, SiO (), and CO () emission at \arcs{1} resolution with the Submillimeter Array (SMA). Thermal…
A radiation driven implosion model for the enhanced luminosity of protostars near HII regions
K. Motoyama, T. Umemoto, H. Shang
Context. Molecular clouds near the H II regions tend to harbor more luminous protostars. Aims. Our aim in this paper is to investigate whether or not radiation-driven implosion mec…
HH 212: SMA Observations of a Remarkable Protostellar Jet
Chin-Fei Lee, Paul T. P. Ho, Henrik Beuther +4
HH 212 is a nearby (460 pc) protostellar jet discovered in H powered by a Class 0 source, IRAS 05413-0104, in the L1630 cloud of Orion. It is highly collimated and symmetric wi…
