Intrinsically Design-Rule-Compliant Nanophotonic Inverse Design via Learned Generative Manifolds
Bahrem Serhat Danis, Demet Baldan Desdemir, Enes Akcakoca +6
Inverse design has enabled the systematic design of ultra-compact and high-performance nanophotonic components. Yet enforcing foundry design rules during inverse design remains a m…
Universal on-chip polarization handling with deep photonic networks
Aycan Deniz Vit, Ujal Rzayev, Bahrem Serhat Danis +3
We propose a novel design paradigm for arbitrarily capable deep photonic networks of cascaded Mach-Zehnder Interferometers (MZIs) for on-chip universal polarization handling. Using…
Computationally Efficient Nanophotonic Design through Data-Driven Eigenmode Expansion
Mehmet Can Oktay, Emir Salih Magden
Growing diversity and complexity of on-chip photonic applications requires rapid design of components with state-of-the-art operation metrics. Here, we demonstrate a highly flexibl…
Ultra-broadband integrated optical filters based on adiabatic optimization of coupled waveguides
Kazim Gorgulu, Emir Salih Magden
Broadband spectral filters are highly sought-after in many integrated photonics applications such as ultra-broadband wavelength division multiplexing, multi-band spectroscopy, and…
