Analysis of polarization drift of optical signals over deployed aerial-inground fiber connections
Aneesh Ramaswamy, Nageswara S. V. Rao, Joseph C. Chapman +1
Polarization measurements of a classical 1550-nm signal are collected and analyzed on 15-km hybrid aerial-inground fiber connections over 11 months. The spectral area and spectral…
Zero-added-loss entanglement multiplexing using time-bin spectral shearing
Joseph C. Chapman, Muneer Alshowkan, Jack Postlewaite +2
High-quality quantum communications that enable important capabilities, such as distributed quantum computing and sensing, will require quantum repeaters for providing high-quality…
Drone- and Vehicle-Based Quantum Key Distribution
Andrew Conrad, Roderick Cochran, Daniel Sanchez-Rosales +17
Quantum key distribution is a point-to-point communication protocol that leverages quantum mechanics to enable secure information exchange. Commonly, the transmitter and receiver s…
Continuous Automatic Polarization Channel Stabilization from Heterodyne Detection of Coexisting Dim Reference Signals
Joseph C. Chapman, Muneer Alshowkan, Kazi Reaz +2
Quantum networking continues to encode information in polarization states due to ease and precision. The variable environmental polarization transformations induced by deployed fib…
