Radio-Interferometric Image Reconstruction with Denoising Diffusion Restoration Models
Michel Morales, Emma Tolley, Remi Poitevineau
Reconstructing images of the radio sky from incomplete Fourier information is a key challenge in radio astronomy. In this work, we present a method for radio interferometric image…
A Guided Unconditional Diffusion Model to Synthesize and Inpaint Radio Galaxies from FIRST, MGCLS and Radio Zoo
Rémi Poitevineau, Emma Tolley, Verlon Etsebeth
We present a masked-guided approach for a denoising diffusion probabilistic model (DDPM) trained to generate and inpaint realistic radio galaxy images. The inpainting capability is…
The Galaxy Activity, Torus, and Outflow Survey (GATOS). Black hole mass estimation using machine learning
R. Poitevineau, F. Combes, S. Garcia-Burillo +23
The detailed feeding and feedback mechanisms of Active Galactic Nuclei (AGN) are not yet well known. For low-luminosity and obscured AGN, as well as late-type galaxies, determining…
Black hole and galaxy co-evolution in radio-loud AGN at z ~ 0.3-4
R. Poitevineau, G. Castignani, F. Combes
There exists a well known relation between the mass of the supermassive black hole (SMBH) in the center of galaxies and their bulge mass or central velocity dispersion. This sugges…
