Randomised benchmarking for characterizing and forecasting correlated processes
Xinfang Zhang, Zhihao Wu, Gregory A. L. White +12
The development of fault-tolerant quantum processors relies on the ability to control noise. A particularly insidious form of noise is temporally correlated or non-Markovian noise.…
Unifying non-Markovian characterisation with an efficient and self-consistent framework
Gregory A. L. White, Petar Jurcevic, Charles D. Hill +1
Noise on quantum devices is much more complex than it is commonly given credit. Far from usual models of decoherence, nearly all quantum devices are plagued both by a continuum of…
Topological Signal Processing on Quantum Computers for Higher-Order Network Analysis
Caesnan M. G. Leditto, Angus Southwell, Behnam Tonekaboni +3
Predicting and analyzing global behaviour of complex systems is challenging due to the intricate nature of their component interactions. Recent work has started modelling complex s…
Capturing long-range memory structures with tree-geometry process tensors
Neil Dowling, Kavan Modi, Roberto N. Muñoz +2
We introduce a class of quantum non-Markovian processes -- dubbed process trees -- that exhibit polynomially decaying temporal correlations and memory distributed across time scale…
