Validation of a Comprehensive First-Principles-Based Framework for Predicting the Performance of Future Stellarators
D. L. C. Agapito Fernando, A. Bañón Navarro, D. Carralero +20
This paper presents the validation of the framework for recovering both the steady-state plasma profiles in the considered radial domain and selected t…
First experimental observation of zonal flows in the optimized stellarator Wendelstein 7-X
D. Carralero, T. Estrada, J. M. García-Regaña +10
In this work, we present the first experimental evidence of the presence of zonal flow (ZF) structures in the optimized stellarator Wendelstein 7-X. Using an assortment of diagnost…
Validating neutral-beam current drive simulations in the TJ-II stellarator
Sadig Mulas, Álvaro Cappa, José Martínez-Fernández +9
In this paper, we analyze the results of neutral-beam current drive (NBCD) experiments, performed in the TJ-II stellarator, with the aim of validating the theoretical predictions.…
Causality detection and turbulence in fusion plasmas
B. Ph. van Milligen, G. Birkenmeier, M. Ramisch +3
This work explores the potential of an information-theoretical causality detection method for unraveling the relation between fluctuating variables in complex nonlinear systems. Th…
