Relational path integral, effective actions and quantum frame covariance in gravity
Sergio E. Aguilar-Gutierrez, Renata Ferrero, Philipp A. Hoehn +1
We propose a relational bundle-geometric formulation of the gravitational path integral by invoking the new tool of quantum reference frames (QRFs), which in gravity are gauge-cova…
Generalising gravitationally induced decoherence beyond linear environmental interactions in a microscopic quantum mechanical toy model
Max Joseph Fahn, Renata Ferrero, Kristina Giesel +1
We generalise the quantum mechanical toy model for gravitationally induced decoherence presented in Xu, Blencowe (2022) and Domi et al. (2024). In contrast to earlier formulations,…
Quantum fields and the cosmological constant
Renata Ferrero, Vincenzo Naso, Roberto Percacci
It has been shown that if one solves self-consistently the semiclassical Einstein equations in the presence of a quantum scalar field, with a cutoff on the number of modes, spaceti…
Quantum Gravity, Hydrodynamics and Emergent Cosmology: A Collection of Perspectives
Jibril Ben Achour, Dario Benedetti, Martin Bojowald +17
This collection of perspective pieces captures recent advancements and reflections from a dynamic research community dedicated to bridging quantum gravity, hydrodynamics, and emerg…
