What makes a good public EV charging station? A revealed preference study
Steven Lamontagne, Margarida Carvalho, Emma Frejinger +1
To determine the optimal locations for electric vehicle charging stations, optimisation models need to predict which charging stations users will select. We estimate discrete choic…
The Strength of Flow Refueling Location Problem Formulations and an Extension to Cyclic Routing
Nagisa Sugishita, Margarida Carvalho, Ribal Atallah
The Flow Refueling Location Problem (FRLP) is a stylized model for determining the optimal placement of refueling stations for vehicles with limited travel ranges, such as hydrogen…
Maximum flow-based formulation for the optimal location of electric vehicle charging stations
Pierre-Luc Parent, Margarida Carvalho, Miguel F. Anjos +1
With the increasing effects of climate change, the urgency to step away from fossil fuels is greater than ever before. Electric vehicles (EVs) are one way to diminish these effects…
Accelerated Benders Decomposition and Local Branching for Dynamic Maximum Covering Location Problems
Steven Lamontagne, Margarida Carvalho, Ribal Atallah
The maximum covering location problem (MCLP) is a key problem in facility location, with many applications and variants. One such variant is the dynamic (or multi-period) MCLP, whi…
