Probing stellar rotation in the Pleiades with gravity-mode pulsators
D. J. Fritzewski, A. Kemp, G. Li +1
Due to their proximity, the Pleiades are an important benchmark open cluster. Despite its status, asteroseismic analyses of its members are rare. In particular, the gravity-mode (g…
Learning novel representations of variable sources from multi-modal data via autoencoders
P. Huijse, J. De Ridder, L. Eyer +18
Gaia Data Release 3 (DR3) published for the first time epoch photometry, BP/RP (XP) low-resolution mean spectra, and supervised classification results for millions of variable sour…
Asteroseismic predictions for a massive main-sequence merger product
J. Henneco, F. R. N. Schneider, M. Heller +2
The products of stellar mergers between two massive main-sequence (MS) stars appear as seemingly normal MS stars after a phase of thermal relaxation, if not for certain peculiariti…
The PLATO field selection process. II. Characterization of LOPS2, the first long-pointing field
V. Nascimbeni, G. Piotto, J. Cabrera +26
PLAnetary Transits and Oscillations of stars (PLATO) is an ESA M-class mission to be launched by the end of 2026 to discover and characterize transiting planets around bright and n…
