Decadal pre-explosion activity and circumstellar interaction in a supernova
Ting-Wan Chen, Amar Aryan, Sheng Yang +52
When a massive star explodes as a supernova, crucial information about its immediate environment is lost within hours. Here we report rapid optical observations from Lulin Observat…
Photometry and Spectroscopy of SN 2024pxl: A Luminosity Link Among Type Iax Supernovae
Mridweeka Singh, Lindsey A. Kwok, Saurabh W. Jha +90
We present extensive ultraviolet to optical photometric and optical to near-infrared (NIR) spectroscopic follow-up observations of the nearby intermediate-luminosity ($M_V = -16.81…
TiDES: The 4MOST Time Domain Extragalactic Survey
C. Frohmaier, M. Vincenzi, M. Sullivan +24
The Time Domain Extragalactic Survey (TiDES) conducted on the 4-metre Multi-Object Spectroscopic Telescope (4MOST) will perform spectroscopic follow-up of extragalactic transients…
[O II] as an Effective Indicator of the Dependence Between the Standardised Luminosities of Type Ia Supernovae and the Properties of their Host Galaxies
B. Martin, C. Lidman, D. Brout +3
We have obtained IFU spectra of 75 SN Ia host galaxies from the Foundation Supernova survey to search for correlations between the properties of individual galaxies and SN Hubble r…
