Final Moments III: Explosion Properties and Progenitor Constraints of CSM-Interacting Type II Supernovae
W. V. Jacobson-Galán, L. Dessart, K. W. Davis +52
We present analysis of the plateau and late-time phase properties of a sample of 39 Type II supernovae (SNe II) that show narrow, transient, high-ionization emission lines (i.e., "…
SN 2024ggi: another year, another striking Type II supernova
K. Ertini, T. A. Regna, L. Ferrari +19
SN 2024ggi is a Type II supernova that exploded in the nearby galaxy NGC 3621 at a distance of approximately 7 Mpc, making it one of the closest supernovae of the decade. This SN s…
Unveiling the nature of SN 2022jli: The first double-peaked stripped-envelope supernova showing periodic undulations and dust emission at late times
Régis Cartier, Carlos Contreras, Maximilian Stritzinger +6
We present optical and infrared observations from maximum light until around +800 days of supernova (SN) 2022jli, a peculiar stripped-envelope (SE) SN showing two maxima, each one…
Final Moments II: Observational Properties and Physical Modeling of CSM-Interacting Type II Supernovae
W. V. Jacobson-Galán, L. Dessart, K. W. Davis +52
We present ultraviolet/optical/near-infrared observations and modeling of Type II supernovae (SNe II) whose early-time ( days) spectra show transient, narrow emission lines…
