The ALMA-CRISTAL survey: Gas, dust, and stars in star-forming galaxies when the Universe was ~1 Gyr old I. Survey overview and case studies
R. Herrera-Camus, J. González-López, N. Förster Schreiber +44
We present the ALMA-CRISTAL survey, an ALMA Cycle 8 Large Program designed to investigate the physical properties of star-forming galaxies at through spat…
The ALMA-CRISTAL survey: weak evidence for star-formation driven outflows in main-sequence galaxies
Jack E. Birkin, Justin S. Spilker, Rodrigo Herrera-Camus +23
There is a broad consensus from theory that stellar feedback in galaxies at high redshifts is essential to their evolution, alongside conflicting evidence in the observational lite…
A confirmed deficit of hot and cold dust emission in the most luminous Little Red Dots
David J. Setton, Jenny E. Greene, Justin S. Spilker +33
Luminous broad H emission and red rest-optical SEDs are the hallmark of compact Little Red Dots (LRDs), implying highly attenuated dusty starbursts and/or obscured active galact…
Extended Enriched Gas in a Multi-Galaxy Merger at Redshift 6.7
Weida Hu, Casey Papovich, Lu Shen +5
Recent JWST observations have uncovered high-redshift galaxies characterized by multiple star-forming clumps, many of which appear to be undergoing mergers. Such mergers, especiall…
