A 70 pc-Diameter Nova Super-remnant Surrounding the Recurrent Nova RS Ophiuchi
Michael M. Shara, Kenneth M. Lanzetta, Alexandra Masegian +9
Recurrent novae undergo thermonuclear-powered eruptions separated by less than 100 years, enabled by subgiant or red giant donors transferring hydrogen-rich matter at very high rat…
Long-period double-lined eclipsing binaries: the system V454 Aur with the secondary eclipse caused by the occultation of the hotter component
Kniazev Alexei, Malkov Oleg, Gorda Stanislav +2
We present the results of our study of the long-period eclipsing binary star \Aur. The results are based on spectroscopic data obtained with the UFES échelle spectrograph and photo…
Stellar CoRGI in MaNGA: Stellar Counterrotating Galaxies Identified in the MaNGA Survey
Damir Gasymov, Ivan Yu. Katkov, Evgenii V. Rubtsov +8
Stellar counterrotating (CR) galaxies are systems hosting two large-scale stellar components rotating in opposite directions -- a main, preexisting galaxy body with an older stella…
Study of extragalactic HII regions with echelle spectroscopy: The A2 region in the irregular galaxy IC4662
Alexei Kniazev
I present the results of echelle spectroscopy of a bright HII region in the irregular galaxy IC4662 and their comparison with results from long-slit spectroscopy of the same region…
