Preservation Theorems for Transducer Outputs
Valérie Berthé, Herman Goulet-Ouellet, Toghrul Karimov +2
Suppose we have a deterministic finite-state transducer and an infinite word , and run on to obtain an infinite word . Which properties of are guaranteed t…
Sofic measures
Marie-Pierre Béal, Vincent Jugé, Jean Mairesse +2
Sofic measures, also known as hidden Markov measures, have been extensively studied. In this paper, we survey some equivalent definitions of this notion and improve a bound for dec…
Sequential densities of rational languages
Alexi Block Gorman, Dominique Perrin
We introduce the notion of density of a rational language with respect to a sequence of probability measures. We prove that if is a sequence of Bernoulli measures convergin…
Density of rational languages under shift invariant measures
Valérie Berthé, Herman Goulet-Ouellet, Dominique Perrin
We study density of rational languages under shift invariant probability measures on spaces of two-sided infinite words, which generalizes the classical notion of density studied i…
Density of group languages in shift spaces
Valérie Berthé, Herman Goulet-Ouellet, Carl-Fredrik Nyberg-Brodda +2
The density of a rational language can be understood as the frequency of some pattern in the shift space, for example a pattern like "words with an even number of a given letter."…
