A giant bar induced by a merger event at z=0.4?
Sébastien Peirani, Francois Hammer, Hector Flores +2
(Aims) We present a physical model of the formation of J033239.72-275154.7, a galaxy observed at z=0.41 and characterized by a big young bar of size 6 kpc. The study of this system…
Dynamics of Nearby Groups of Galaxies: the role of the cosmological constant
Sébastien Peirani, José Antonio De Freitas Pacheco
(context) Different cosmological data are consistent with an accelerated expansion produced by an exotic matter-energy component, dubbed "dark-energy''. A cosmological constant is…
Numerical investigation of lenses with substructures using the perturbative method
Sébastien Peirani, Christophe Alard, Christophe Pichon +2
We present a statistical study of the effects induced by substructures on the deflection potential of dark matter halos in the strong lensing regime. This investigation is based on…
Dark Matter Accretion into Supermassive Black Holes
Sébastien Peirani, José Antonio De Freitas Pacheco
The relativistic accretion rate of dark matter by a black hole is revisited. Under the assumption that the phase space density indicator, , remains const…
