Sub-MHz SWAP spectroscopy of two-level systems in superconducting qubits
Joaquin Minguzzi, John Clai Owens, Oskar Painter +2
An outstanding challenge in superconducting quantum circuits is mitigating loss from two-level system (TLS) defects. SWAP spectroscopy with flux-tunable qubits can detect individua…
Bias-preserving cat-cat CNOT gate via vacuum-conditional beam-splitter
Yufeng Ye, Connor T. Hann, Kyungjoo Noh +4
Cat qubits can exhibit strong noise bias due to their exponentially enhanced bit-flip times and only polynomially reduced phase-flip times with increasing photon number, which make…
Fast, High-Fidelity Erasure Detection of Dual-Rail Qubits with Symmetrically Coupled Readout
Jimmy Shih-Chun Hung, Arbel Haim, Mouktik Raha +14
Erasure qubits are a promising platform for implementing hardware-efficient quantum error correction. Realizing the error-correction advantages of this encoding requires frequent m…
Readout-induced degradation of transmon lifetimes: interplay of TLSs and qubit spectral reshaping
Ziwen Huang, Jimmy Shih-Chun Hung, Mouktik Raha +9
Measurement backaction degrades dispersive readout of superconducting qubits even at modest drive strengths, often via the reduction of qubit lifetimes during readout. In this work…
