Beating solitons with nonzero relative wavenumber, their interaction, and coexistence with Akhmediev breathers
Wen-Juan Che, Chong Liu
We study beating solitons and their interaction for the three-component nonlinear Schrödinger equations (NLSEs) in both focusing and defocusing cases. We identify a previously unkn…
Nondegenerate Akhmediev breathers and abnormal frequency jumping in multicomponent nonlinear Schrödinger equations
Shao-Chun Chen, Chong Liu
Nonlinear stage of higher-order modulation instability (MI) phenomena in the frame of multicomponent nonlinear Schrödinger equations (NLSEs) are studied analytically and numericall…
Exact analytic spectra of rogue waves for Manakov equations
Shao-Chun Chen, Chong Liu, Nail Akhmediev
The spectra of rogue waves of Manakov equations that exist in both focusing or defocusing regimes are derived in analytic form. These spectra are asymmetric during their whole expa…
Modulation instability and non-degenerate Akhmediev breathers of Manakov equations
Chong Liu, Shao-Chun Chen, Xiankun Yao +1
We reveal a new class of \textit{non-degenerate} Akhmediev breather (AB) solutions of Manakov equations that only exist in the focusing case. Based on exact solutions, we present t…
