SN 2025aico: Early observations of a faint Type IIb supernova with a low-mass envelope
J. -W. Zhao, A. Pastorello, B. Kumar +45
We aimed to investigate the physical properties and the underlying explosion mechanisms of the Type IIb SN 2025aico. Through a comprehensive analysis of early-phase optical light c…
GRB 241105A: A test case for GRB classification and rapid r-process nucleosynthesis channels
Dimple, B. P. Gompertz, A. J. Levan +85
Gamma-ray bursts (GRBs) offer a powerful window to probe the progenitor systems responsible for the formation of heavy elements through the rapid neutron capture (r-) process, than…
SN 2024abfo: a partially stripped SN II from a yellow supergiant
A. Reguitti, A. Pastorello, S. J. Smartt +35
We present photometric and spectroscopic data of the type IIb supernova (SN) 2024abfo in NGC 1493 (at 11 Mpc). The ATLAS survey discovered the object just a few hours after the exp…
Deep Photometric Observations of Ultra-Faint Milky Way Satellites Centaurus I and Eridanus IV
Quinn O. Casey, Burçin Mutlu-Pakdil, David J. Sand +19
We present deep MagellanMegacam imaging of Centaurus I (Cen I) and Eridanus IV (Eri IV), two recently discovered Milky Way ultra-faint satellites. Our data reach magni…
