Ambipolar doping-induced surface in-gap state on Mott-insulating CaRuO
M. Horio, T. Wada, V. Granata +4
We report an x-ray photoemission spectroscopy study of CaRuO surface-dosed with Cs alkali atoms and C molecules. Due to its small ionization energy (large electron a…
Magnon interactions in a moderately correlated Mott insulator
Qisi Wang, S. Mustafi, E. Fogh +20
Quantum fluctuations in low-dimensional systems and near quantum phase transitions have significant influences on material properties. Yet, it is difficult to experimentally gauge…
Orbital-selective metal skin induced by alkali-metal-dosing Mott-insulating CaRuO
M. Horio, F. Forte, D. Sutter +21
Doped Mott insulators are the starting point for interesting physics such as high temperature superconductivity and quantum spin liquids. For multi-band Mott insulators, orbital se…
Hallmarks of Hund's coupling in the Mott insulator CaRuO
D. Sutter, C. G. Fatuzzo, S. Moser +22
A paradigmatic case of multi-band Mott physics including spin-orbit and Hund's coupling is realised in CaRuO. Progress in understanding the nature of this Mott insulating p…
