Token Communication in the Era of Large Models: An Information Bottleneck-Based Approach
Hao Wei, Wanli Ni, Wen Wang +3
This letter proposes UniToCom, a unified token communication paradigm that treats tokens as the fundamental units for both processing and wireless transmission. Specifically, to en…
Task-Agnostic Semantic Communications Relying on Information Bottleneck and Federated Meta-Learning
Hao Wei, Wen Wang, Wanli Ni +4
As a paradigm shift towards pervasive intelligence, semantic communication (SemCom) has shown great potentials to improve communication efficiency and provide user-centric services…
Physics-Guided Multimodal Transformers are the Necessary Foundation for the Next Generation of Meteorological Science
Jing Han, Hanting Chen, Kai Han +4
This position paper argues that the next generation of artificial intelligence in meteorological and climate sciences must transition from fragmented hybrid heuristics toward a uni…
Zero-Shot Semantic Communication with Multimodal Foundation Models
Jiangjing Hu, Haotian Wu, Wenjing Zhang +4
Most existing semantic communication (SemCom) systems use deep joint source-channel coding (DeepJSCC) to encode task-specific semantics in a goal-oriented manner. However, their re…
