A White Dwarf Tidal Disruption by an Intermediate-Mass Black Hole as the Progenitor of Ultra-long GRB 250702B
Chengchao Yuan, Ning Jiang, Zi-Gao Dai
The recent detection of GRB 250702B, the longest gamma-ray burst observed to date with prompt emission lasting seconds, challenges the conventional collapsar…
Searching for Electromagnetic Counterpart Candidates to GW231123
Lei He, Liang-Gui Zhu, Zheng-Yan Liu +14
The detection of GW231123, a gravitational-wave (GW) event with exceptionally massive and rapidly spinning black holes, suggests the possible formation within an active galactic nu…
Tracing the light: Identification for the optical counterpart candidates of binary black-holes during O3
Lei He, Zhengyan Liu, Rui Niu +9
The accretion disks of active galactic nuclei (AGN) are widely considered the ideal environments for binary black hole (BBH) mergers and the only plausible sites for their electrom…
A Systematic Search for Active Galactic Nucleus Flares in ZTF Data Release 23
Lei He, Zheng-Yan Liu, Rui Niu +13
Active galactic nuclei (AGNs) are known to exhibit stochastic variability across a wide range of timescales and wavelengths. AGN flares are extreme outbursts that deviate from this…
