Spatial Correlations of PAH, UV, H Emission and IMF - PAH Variations in the Star-Forming Complexes of NGC 628
S Amrutha, Dimitra Rigopoulou, Mousumi Das +1
We examine the spatial correlation of emission from polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) (3.3 m, 7.7 m, and 11.3 m) with the far-ultraviolet (FUV), near-ultraviolet (NUV…
Dwarf-Dwarf interactions and their influence on star formation : Insights from post-merger galaxies
Rakshit Chauhan, Smitha Subramanian, Deepak A. Kudari +2
Dwarf galaxies dominate the galaxy population across all redshifts, and majority of mergers are expected to occur between them. However, the impact of dwarf-dwarf mergers on star f…
A pilot method to determine the high mass end of the Stellar Initial Mass Function in galaxies using UVIT, H-MUSE observations and applied to NGC628
S Amrutha, Mousumi Das
We present a pilot method to estimate the high-mass initial mass function (IMF) across the arm, interarm, and spur regions in galaxies and apply it to NGC 628. We extracted star-fo…
A Comparative Study of Star Forming Dwarf Galaxies using the UVIT
S Amrutha, Mousumi Das, Jyoti Yadav
We present a Far-Ultraviolet (FUV) study of sixteen star-forming dwarf galaxies (SFDGs) using the Ultraviolet Imaging Telescope (UVIT). Morphologically, SFDGs are classified as dwa…
