Distance estimate to NGC 6951 from supernova siblings Type IIP SN 2020dpw and Type Ib SN 2021sjt
Réka Könyves-Tóth, Zsófia Bodola, Tamás Szalai +24
{Supernova (SN) siblings are powerful tools used to calibrate and improve distance measurement methods, and to make the systematic uncertainty to distances to their host galaxies c…
SN 2023ixf in M101: physical parameters from bolometric light curve modeling
J. Vinko, Zs. R. Bodola, A. Godeny +25
We present new photometric observations of the core-collapse supernova SN 2023ixf occurred in M101, taken with the RC80 and BRC80 robotic telescopes in Hungary. The initial nickel…
Can circumstellar interaction explain the strange light curve features of Type Ib/c supernovae?
Andrea P. Nagy, Zsofia R. Bodola
Context. The evolution and the surrounding of stripped-envelope supernova progenitors are still under debate: some studies suggest single-star, while others prefer massive binary p…
SN 2022oqm: A Bright and Multi-peaked Calcium-rich Transient
S. Karthik Yadavalli, V. Ashley Villar, Luca Izzo +60
We present the photometric and spectroscopic evolution of SN 2022oqm, a nearby multi-peaked hydrogen- and helium-weak calcium-rich transient (CaRT). SN 2022oqm was detected 13.1 kp…
