Qingzheng Cong, Alexis W. M. Devillard, Abu Bakar Dawood +7
This paper presents a stacked two-layer force-sensing resistor (FSR) array designed for robotic fingertips that combines high-resolution pressure mapping with shear-force estimatio…
Augmenting Human Balance with Generic Supernumerary Robotic Limbs
Xuanyun Qiu, Dorian Verdel, Hector Cervantes-Culebro +2
Supernumerary robotic limbs (SLs) have the potential to transform a wide range of human activities, yet their usability remains limited by key technical challenges, particularly in…
Embodied Tactile Perception of Soft Objects Properties
Anirvan Dutta, Alexis WM Devillard, Zhihuan Zhang +2
To enable robots to develop human-like fine manipulation, it is essential to understand how mechanical compliance, multi-modal sensing, and purposeful interaction jointly shape tac…
Concurrent Haptic, Audio, and Visual Data Set During Bare Finger Interaction with Textured Surfaces
Alexis W. M. Devillard, Aruna Ramasamy, Damien Faux +2
Perceptual processes are frequently multi-modal. This is the case of haptic perception. Data sets of visual and haptic sensory signals have been compiled in the past, especially wh…
