Configuring Transmission Thresholds in IIoT Alarm Scenarios for Energy-Efficient Event Reporting
David E. Ruíz-Guirola, Onel L. A. López, Samuel Montejo-Sánchez
Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) applications involve real-time monitoring, detection, and data analysis. This is challenged by the intermittent activity of IIoT devices (IIoTD…
Neural Network-Based Bandit: A Medium Access Control for the IIoT Alarm Scenario
Prasoon Raghuwanshi, Onel Luis Alcaraz López, Neelesh B. Mehta +2
Efficient Random Access (RA) is critical for enabling reliable communication in Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) networks. Herein, we propose a deep reinforcement learning base…
Distributed MIMO Networks with Rotary ULAs for Indoor Scenarios under Rician Fading
Eduardo Noboro Tominaga, Onel Luis Alcaraz López, Tommy Svensson +2
The Fifth-Generation (5G) wireless communications networks introduced native support for Machine-Type Communications (MTC) use cases. Nevertheless, current 5G networks cannot fully…
