Glimmers in the Cosmic Dawn. III. On the Photometrically Determined Black Hole Mass to Stellar Mass Relation Across Cosmic Time
Alice R. Young, Matthew J. Hayes, Alberto Saldana-Lopez +7
We present the results from performing spectral energy distribution (SED) fitting on 121 variable active galactic nuclei (AGN) candidates in the Hubble Ultra Deep Field (HUDF) usin…
SN 2021aaev: a Hydrogen-Rich Superluminous Supernova with Early Flash and Long-Lived Circumstellar Interaction in an Unusual Host Environment
Yang Hu, Ragnhild Lunnan, Priscila J. Pessi +25
We present photometric and spectroscopic observations of SN\,2021aaev, a hydrogen-rich, superluminous supernova with persistent (at least days) narrow Balmer lines (SLSN-…
The Emergence and Ionizing Feedback of Pop III.1 Stars as Progenitors for Supermassive Black Holes
Mahsa Sanati, Jonathan C. Tan, Julien Devriendt +9
Recent observations by JWST reveal an unexpectedly abundant population of rapidly growing supermassive black holes (SMBHs) in the early Universe, underscoring the need for improved…
Glimmers in the Cosmic Dawn. II. A variability census of supermassive black holes across the Universe
Vieri Cammelli, Jonathan C. Tan, Alice R. Young +7
Understanding the origin and evolution of supermassive black holes (SMBH) stands as one of the most important challenges in astrophysics and cosmology, with little current theoreti…
