Classical simulation of circuits with realistic odd-dimensional Gottesman-Kitaev-Preskill states
Cameron Calcluth, Oliver Hahn, Juani Bermejo-Vega +2
Classically simulating circuits with bosonic codes is challenging due to the prohibitive cost of simulating quantum systems with many, possibly infinite, energy levels. We propose…
Assessing non-Gaussian quantum state conversion with the stellar rank
Oliver Hahn, Maxime Garnier, Giulia Ferrini +2
State conversion is a fundamental task in quantum information processing. Quantum resource theories allow for analyzing and bounding conversions that use restricted sets of operati…
Bridging magic and non-Gaussian resources via Gottesman-Kitaev-Preskill encoding
Oliver Hahn, Giulia Ferrini, Ryuji Takagi
Although the similarity between non-stabilizer states -- also known as magic states -- in discrete-variable systems and non-Gaussian states in continuous-variable systems has widel…
Classical simulation and quantum resource theory of non-Gaussian optics
Oliver Hahn, Ryuji Takagi, Giulia Ferrini +1
We propose efficient algorithms for classically simulating Gaussian unitaries and measurements applied to non-Gaussian initial states. The constructions are based on decomposing th…
