Ram-pressure signatures in the dwarf irregular galaxy SextansB revealed by deep MeerKAT HI observations
Brenda Namumba, Neel Kolhe, Francois Hammer +12
The impact of extremely low-density environments such as the diffuse intergalactic medium (IGM) on the neutral gas distribution of dwarf galaxies remains poorly explored observatio…
HI gas in the rejuvenated radio galaxy PKS 2014-55
Leon Mtshweni, Kshitij Thorat, Roger P. Deane +17
We present new high-spectral-resolution MeerKAT observations of absorption against the central region of the restarted, giant, X-shaped radio galaxy PKS2014-55, which…
MeerKAT view of Hickson Compact Groups: II. HI deficiency in the core and surrounding regions
A. Sorgho, L. Verdes-Montenegro, R. Ianjamasimanana +25
Hickson compact groups (HCGs) offer an ideal environment for investigating galaxy transformation as a result of interactions. It has been established that the evolutionary sequence…
The MeerKAT Fornax Survey V. H i kinematics and Fornax cluster membership of the dwarf galaxy ESO 358-60
P. Kamphuis, P. Serra, D. Kleiner +2
The MeerKAT Fornax Survey (MFS) is a large survey project mapping the HI in the Fornax cluster. Most of the cluster members detected in HI show significant signs of interaction wit…
