Oxygen and nitrogen isotopologues on cold COCONUTS-2b observed with MIRI/MRS
H. Kühnle, E. C. Matthews, P. Mollière +12
Linking the composition of gas giant planets to their formation paths has long been a goal in exoplanet science. Especially, cold gas giants with temperatures below 500K have…
Multi-modal atmospheric characterization of Pictoris b: Adding high-resolution continuum spectra from GRAVITY
M. Ravet, M. Bonnefoy, G. Chauvin +24
We present the first VLTI/GRAVITY observations at R of Pic b. These four high S/N (20) K-band spectra conserve both the pseudo-continuum and molecular absorp…
Evidence for SiO cloud nucleation in the rogue planet PSO J318
P. Mollière, H. Kühnle, E. C. Matthews +25
Silicate clouds are known to significantly impact the spectra of late L-type brown dwarfs, with observable absorption features at ~ 10 micron. JWST has reopened our window to the m…
Cold day-side winds shape large leading streams in evaporating exoplanet atmospheres
F. Nail, M. MacLeod, A. Oklopčić +3
Recent observations of planetary atmospheres in HAT-P-32 b and HAT-P-67 b reveal extensive outflows reaching up to hundreds of planetary radii. The helium 1083 nm light curves for…
