Gamma-ray lines, electron-positron annihilation, and possible radio emission in X-ray pulsars
Alexander A. Mushtukov, Emir Tataroglu, Alex J. Cooper +1
Accretion onto neutron stars (NSs) in X-ray pulsars (XRPs) results in intense X-ray emission, and under specific conditions, high-energy nuclear interactions that produce gamma-ray…
Detection of X-ray Emission from a Bright Long-Period Radio Transient
Ziteng Wang, Nanda Rea, Tong Bao +46
Recently, a class of long-period radio transients (LPTs) has been discovered, exhibiting emission on timescales thousands of times longer than radio pulsars. Several models had bee…
Beyond the Rotational Deathline: Radio Emission from Ultra-long Period Magnetars
A. J. Cooper, Z. Wadiasingh
Motivated by the recent detection of ultra-long period radio transients, we investigate new models of coherent radio emission via low-altitude electron-positron pair production in…
MWA rapid follow-up of gravitational wave transients: prospects for detecting prompt radio counterparts
J. Tian, G. E. Anderson, A. J. Cooper +17
We present and evaluate the prospects for detecting coherent radio counterparts to gravitational wave (GW) events using Murchison Widefield Array (MWA) triggered observations. The…
