The XLZD Design Book: Towards the Next-Generation Liquid Xenon Observatory for Dark Matter and Neutrino Physics
XLZD Collaboration, J. Aalbers, K. Abe +441
This report describes the experimental strategy and technologies for XLZD, the next-generation xenon observatory sensitive to dark matter and neutrino physics. In the baseline desi…
Probing the Scalar WIMP-Pion Coupling with the first LUX-ZEPLIN data
J. Aalbers, D. S. Akerib, A. K. Al Musalhi +200
Weakly interacting massive particles (WIMPs) may interact with a virtual pion that is exchanged between nucleons. This interaction channel is important to consider in models where…
Constraints On Covariant WIMP-Nucleon Effective Field Theory Interactions from the First Science Run of the LUX-ZEPLIN Experiment
J. Aalbers, D. S. Akerib, A. K. Al Musalhi +201
The first science run of the LUX-ZEPLIN (LZ) experiment, a dual-phase xenon time project chamber operating in the Sanford Underground Research Facility in South Dakota, USA, has re…
New constraints on ultraheavy dark matter from the LZ experiment
J. Aalbers, D. S. Akerib, A. K. Al Musalhi +196
Searches for dark matter with liquid xenon time projection chamber experiments have traditionally focused on the region of the parameter space that is characteristic of weakly inte…
