Statistical Channel Model for FSO Systems Assisted by a UAV-Mounted IRS
Ferdaous Tarhouni, Vasilis K. Papanikolaou, Laura Cottatellucci +2
Integrating optical intelligent reflecting surfaces (IRSs) into aerial platforms, such as unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), has been proposed to relax the line-of-sight (LoS) constr…
Closed-form Model for Radiation Pattern of Pinching Antennas
Muhammad Zubair, Vasilis K. Papanikolaou, Robert Schober
In this article, we develop an analytical radiation-pattern model for pinching-antenna systems (PASS) based on a two-dimensional dielectric slab waveguide. The model is derived in…
Clustered Movable Pinching Antennas: Realizing Beamforming Gains and Target Diversity in ISAC Systems with Look-Angle-Dependent RCS
Ata Khalili, Brikena Kaziu, Vasilis K. Papanikolaou +1
We investigate a novel integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) system enabled by pinching antennas (PAs), which are dynamically activated along a dielectric waveguide. Unlike p…
A Survey of Pinching-Antenna Systems (PASS)
Yuanwei Liu, Hao Jiang, Xu Gan +10
The pinching-antenna system (PASS), recently proposed as a flexible-antenna technology, has been regarded as a promising solution for several challenges in next-generation wireless…
