Probing the Physics of Dusty Outflows through Complex Organic Molecules in the Early Universe
Andrey Vayner, Tanio Díaz-Santos, Carl D. Ferkinhoff +22
Galaxy-scale outflows are of critical importance for galaxy formation and evolution. Dust grains are the main sites for the formation of molecules needed for star formation but are…
A JWST MIRI LRS Survey of 37 Massive Star-Forming Galaxies and AGN at Cosmic Noon -- Overview and First Results
Jed McKinney, Miriam Eleazer, Alexandra Pope +17
We present a large spectroscopic survey with \textit{JWST}'s Mid-Infrared Instrument (MIRI) Low Resolution Spectrometer (LRS) targeting infrared-bright galaxies between $z=0.6…
JWST Observations of Starbursts: PAHs Closely Trace the Cool Phase of M82's Galactic Wind
Sebastian Lopez, Colton Ring, Adam K. Leroy +30
Stellar feedback drives multiphase gas outflows from starburst galaxies, but the interpretation of dust emission in these winds remains uncertain. To investigate this, we analyze n…
Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs) in the High-redshift Universe: Prospect of the PRIMA FIRESS low-resolution spectroscopy
Ilsang Yoon, Brandon Hensley, Thomas S. -Y. Lai +6
The integrated luminosity from the features of the polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) exceeds the luminosity from atomic and molecular emission lines in the star-forming regio…
