Probing Direct Contributions of Galaxies and AGN to Cosmic Reionization in a Quasar Field J0226+0302 with JWST NIRCam and NIRSpec
Xiangyu Jin, Jinyi Yang, Feige Wang +19
We present JWST Cycle 2 NIRCam and NIRSpec observations in a quasar field J0226+0302 at z=6.5412 to probe the direct connections between the intergalactic medium (IGM), galaxies, a…
The clustering of C IV and Si IV at the end of reionisation: A perspective from the E-XQR-30 survey
Louise Welsh, Valentina D'Odorico, Fabio Fontanot +14
We aim to study the clustering of metal absorption lines and the structures that they arise in as a function of cosmic time. We focus on C IV and Si IV absorption features that are…
Quasar Radiative Feedback May Suppress Galaxy Growth on Intergalactic Scales at
Yongda Zhu, Eiichi Egami, Xiaohui Fan +27
We present observational evidence that intense ionizing radiation from a luminous quasar suppresses nebular emission in nearby galaxies on intergalactic scales at . Using JW…
Multi-phase black-hole feedback and a bright [CII] halo in a Lo-BAL quasar at
Manuela Bischetti, Hyunseop Choi, Fabrizio Fiore +18
Although the mass growth of supermassive black holes during the Epoch of Reionisation is expected to play a role in shaping the concurrent growth of their host-galaxies, observatio…
