Super-Resolution of Range-Doppler Maps: A Case Study with Chirp-Sequence Radar and Transformer
Sven Hinderer, Jonathan Riese, Zheming Yin +1
Range-Doppler (rD) maps produced by chirp- sequence (CS) radar systems are fundamentally limited in reso- lution by bandwidth, carrier frequency, and coherent processing interval c…
On Mutual Information Neural Estimation for Localization
Sven Hinderer, Manuel Buchfink, Bin Yang
Mutual information (MI) is a promising candidate measure for the assessment and optimization of localization systems, as it captures nonlinear dependencies between random variables…
Hybrid Baseband Simulation for Single-Channel Radar-Based Indoor Localization System
Sven Hinderer, Zheming Yin, Athanasios Papanikolaou +2
Indoor localization with chirp sequence radar at millimeter wavelength offers high localization accuracy at low system cost. We propose a hybrid radar baseband signal simulator for…
Blind Source Separation of Radar Signals in Time Domain Using Deep Learning
Sven Hinderer
Identification and further analysis of radar emitters in a contested environment requires detection and separation of incoming signals. If they arrive from the same direction and a…
